I'm originally from Nottingham in the United Kingdom, where I discovered my passion for photography in the early 2000s and began exhibiting my work in local art galleries.

In 2007, my wife, Sarah along with our young family packed our bags and moved to rural France—specifically the Haute-Vienne—with the goal of establishing a smallholding and living a self-sufficient lifestyle. Not the full-on version involving generating their own electricity, weaving clothes, and writing with carved feathers and plant-based ink—but a simpler form of autonomy focused on growing our own food and embracing a traditional French country way of life.

We enjoyed ten years of "the good life" before relocating in 2017 to the Lot-et-Garonne region in the south-west of France, where we now live.
During my time in France, I established a successful career as a documentary wedding photographer with a strong focus on storytelling. In 2024, it felt like time for another change—a natural evolution from visual storytelling to storytelling through the written word. Today, I divide my time between my love of fine art photography and my newfound passion for writing.
